I need some help. Who can I talk to?
Everyone needs a little help sometimes.
Below is a list of charities that work with Sooke Veterinary Hospital routinely. Charities are run by volunteers and they are often limited by the funds available. Please be patient when it takes them a day or two to answer. It is unlikely any one charity will simply pay your bills; that is the responsibility of the owner. However, many of the below charities will contribute a portion of the fees to help alleviate some of the burden. Others focus on providing for spays and neuters and can be contacted to cover some of the cost. See below for more information about arranging neuters or spays with charity aid.
Once they have authorized financial aid, the charity will contact us with the amounts to be applied.
Please consider donating when you are able to help fund these caring groups. They have saved many lives with their work.

Spay or Neuters
To help us further our services to the public, we have consolidated our spay and neuters to the last Tuesday of each month. The level of care is the same. Your pet will have a full examination prior to anesthesia, pain relief provided and the procedure performed by one of our skilled surgeons. It takes only a day. See My pet is booked for surgery. What do I need to know? for more information about being ready for surgery day.
We also participate in the SPCA voucher program. This Link leads to an overview on why we think neutering your pet is important. The SPCA can be reached at 250-388-7722 or [email protected] for further information about financial aid in getting your pet spayed or neutered.
