Sooke Veterinary Hospital is a busy, friendly, privately-owned small animal practice in beautiful Sooke, BC on Vancouver Island, and we are seeking a FT or PT DVM!
As we celebrate our 50th anniversary this July, we are proud to be a trusted part of the community. We are looking for a veterinarian with a strong foundation in small animal medicine, with an interest or experience in exotic species considered a strong preference. We pride ourselves on strong teamwork, clear communication, and shared case support, while still respecting individual clinical style and autonomy. We are a progressive practice with a long-established team that is always looking for better ways to care for our patients, whether they have fur, scales, or fins.
Compensation is based on experience and is competitive and negotiable for the right candidate. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including health and dental coverage, CE allowance, licensing dues paid, and a uniform allowance. No on call or late shifts.
Located just 45 minutes from Victoria, Sooke offers an incredible lifestyle surrounded by rainforest and coastline, with access to hiking, fishing, biking, and more. It provides a more affordable alternative to city living, while still being close enough for convenience.

Veterinary Technician
Busy, friendly small animal veterinary practice seeking 30-40hr/week technician. While we seek someone with prior experience in the veterinary field, we would be happy to take on a new graduate from an RVT program. We will train up the right drive and attitude! Exotic (pocket pets, reptiles, avian) experience a MUST.
Duties include a mix of rooms and surgery duties including patient care, anesthesia, cleaning, dentistry, and client communication. Everything you could want in a job; the potential to learn without end, the ability to improve the lives of animals and people, as well as the opportunity to work in a supportive environment.
